Human Resources (HR) Generalist
Responsibilities:
• Manage end-to-end multi-state payroll processing, reviewing earnings, deductions, incentive payments, and timekeeping details to ensure timely and accurate pay.
• Maintain payroll documentation and apply federal, state, and local requirements to support compliant payroll practices.
• Work closely with finance partners to reconcile payroll activity, address discrepancies, and assist with audit-related requests.
• Answer employee questions related to pay, benefit deductions, and time records with clarity and responsiveness.
• Coordinate key employee lifecycle activities such as onboarding, offboarding, and upkeep of personnel records.
• Help administer HR policies, programs, and procedures while supporting compliance with applicable employment regulations.
• Support benefits administration by processing enrollment updates, status changes, and employee communications.
• Preserve HRIS data accuracy and prepare reports that support workforce tracking and HR decision-making.
• Provide support on employee relations matters and assist managers with guidance on routine HR issues.
• Contribute to performance management activities, compliance reporting, recordkeeping, and other HR initiatives as needed.
Qualifications:
• At least 3 years of experience in an HR Generalist role with significant payroll responsibility.• Practical experience using ADP or a comparable payroll platform to process payroll activities.
• Working knowledge of payroll laws, tax requirements, and standard human resources practices.
• Background supporting employee relations, onboarding, and HRIS administration.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage data accurately and meet deadlines.
• Excellent organization, prioritization, and time management skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to handle confidential employee and payroll information with sound judgment and discretion.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Compensation
