Payroll Supervisor/Manager
We are looking for an experienced Payroll Supervisor/Manager to support payroll operations for a large multi-state employee population. This long-term contract position is ideal for a detail-oriented payroll specialist who can lead end-to-end processing, maintain compliance across multiple states, and ensure accurate bi-monthly payroll delivery. The role requires strong hands-on knowledge of ADP Workforce Now as well as Workday and the ability to manage payroll activities with precision, timeliness, and a high level of accountability. Previous experience with RSU's is ideal. This company allows the flexibility to work from home on Fridays.
Responsibilities:
• Direct the complete payroll cycle from data review through final processing for a workforce of more than 500 employees.
• Oversee multi-state payroll administration and verify compliance with applicable wage, tax, and reporting regulations.
• Manage bi-monthly payroll schedules to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time.
• Utilize ADP Workforce Now to process payroll transactions, maintain employee records, and support reporting needs.
• Review payroll inputs such as earnings, deductions, adjustments, and tax withholdings to resolve discrepancies before transmission.
• Partner with internal teams to address payroll questions, research exceptions, and provide timely issue resolution.
• Prepare and validate payroll reports, reconciliations, and audit documentation to support financial accuracy and compliance.
• Support payroll-related process updates or system changes as needed while maintaining operational continuity.
Qualifications:
• At least 5 years of payroll experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibility.
• Demonstrated success processing full cycle payroll for employee populations exceeding 500 workers.
• Strong working knowledge of multi-state payroll practices, payroll tax requirements, and compliance standards.
• Hands-on experience using ADP Workforce Now and Workday in a payroll operations environment.
• Proven ability to administer payroll on a bi-monthly schedule with a high degree of accuracy.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify discrepancies and resolve payroll issues efficiently.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholders.
