Customer Service Representative

Robert Half is getting ready for the Holiday Season with one of our most festive clients. Our client is a global, eCommerce retailer that focuses on selling high end holiday and home décor. They will be opening up their pop-up store in Burlingame mid-September. If you are a fan of the holidays, especially Christmas, this is a great opportunity for you. Shift Schedule: Looking for candidates who are openly available Monday through Sunday from 9AM – 7PM

Duration: September 21 – Mid January

Location: Burlingame (1.2 Miles from Bart

Customer Experience & Sales

• Deliver a warm, welcoming, and high-touch customer experience
• Greet and engage customers promptly upon entering the store
• Assess customer familiarity with Balsam Hill products and tailor the interaction to their needs
• Provide thoughtful product recommendations and styling guidance based on customer preferences and space
• Maintain strong product knowledge across trees, greenery, décor, and seasonal assortments
• Support customers throughout the shopping journey with professionalism, attentiveness, and urgency
• Assist customers with both in-store purchases and online orders placed within the store environment
• Support overall sales goals and store performance

Sales Floor Operations

• Maintain a clean, organized, and visually elevated sales floor environment
• Support replenishment, merchandising, recovery, and display maintenance throughout the day
• Assist with maintaining presentation standards across displays and seasonal features
• Support customer flow and floor coverage during peak business periods

Team & Operational Support

• Communicate effectively with store leadership and fellow associates
• Support operational tasks and store priorities as assigned by leadership
• Assist with customer pickups, carry-outs, and service-related support as needed
• Maintain professionalism, presentation standards, and attention to detail throughout the shift
• Adhere to company appearance, safety, and dress code standards
• Contribute to a collaborative, customer-first team environment

Qualifications:

Qualifications

• Previous retail, hospitality, food service, or customer service experience preferred
• Experience within premium retail or other service-driven environments strongly preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and presentation standards
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
• Comfortable learning product knowledge and guiding customer purchasing decisions
• Comfortable utilizing mobile devices, POS systems, and retail technology
• Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment

Physical Requirements

• Ability to remain on feet for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift, move, and organize merchandise safely
• Ability to move throughout both sales floor and stockroom environments
• Ability to perform physical retail tasks in a fast-paced setting
