Creative Strategist

We are looking for a Creative Strategist to join a contract engagement supporting a retail brand initiative in California. In this role, you will collaborate with senior creative leaders to shape a compelling campaign direction for a dining concept and turn emerging brand attributes into clear, market-ready ideas. This contract position is expected to run for 3-4 weeks, with potential for extension, and offers the opportunity to influence print, digital, and paid media creative.

Responsibilities:
• Partner with the Creative Director and Art Director to build three distinct campaign directions that strengthen and clarify the brand identity.
• Translate early-stage brand attributes into strategic creative concepts that can be activated across multiple marketing channels.
• Develop campaign thinking for print, web, and paid media so messaging and visuals feel cohesive across touchpoints.
• Contribute strategic insight that helps position the brand in a way that resonates with target audiences in the restaurant and hospitality space.
• Organize concept narratives and supporting materials into clear presentations for stakeholder review and decision-making.
• Work within a part-time weekly schedule to deliver high-quality creative strategy outputs within a short contract timeline.
• Refine ideas based on feedback from creative leadership and help evolve selected concepts into stronger campaign proposals.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience serving as a creative strategist for restaurant, dining, or hospitality brands.
• Demonstrated success developing multiple campaign or brand concept options for review and selection.
• Strong background in brand strategy, design strategy, and marketing strategy.
• Ability to create clear, persuasive presentation materials that communicate strategic ideas effectively.
• Confidence presenting concepts and rationale to creative stakeholders and partners.
• Comfortable working independently with personal equipment in a remote work setting.
• Availability to support an estimated 20 hours per week across Monday through Friday during the contract period.

Compensation

$35.63-$41.25 Hourly
