Systems Engineer
Responsibilities:
• Support manufacturing IT applications and workstation environments used in daily shop-floor operations, ensuring dependable system performance and timely issue resolution.
• Provide hands-on desktop support by installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and repairing hardware, software, and peripheral devices with minimal disruption to production activities.
• Help manage serialization and track-and-trace solutions by supporting compliance with global standards such as GS1 and applicable pharmaceutical supply chain regulations.
• Assist with the integration of serialization platforms and plant systems with enterprise applications, manufacturing systems, barcode tools, and scanning technologies.
• Contribute to data exchange and connectivity efforts across platforms using established integration methods such as EDI, AS2, and related interface technologies.
• Develop reports, queries, dashboards, and analytics to improve visibility into serialization, operational, and system performance data.
• Apply automation and monitoring tools to enhance manufacturing efficiency, support predictive maintenance efforts, and strengthen process oversight.
• Create user guidance materials and deliver training to employees so they can effectively use supported systems and follow established IT practices.
• Partner with business and technical stakeholders to identify improvement opportunities, document support needs, and implement practical technology enhancements.
Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in Information Technology Management, Computer Science, or a closely related field.• At least 24 months of experience in a Systems Engineer role or a comparable position supporting manufacturing or regulated IT environments.
• Demonstrated knowledge of U.S. pharmaceutical serialization requirements, lot-level traceability concepts, GS1 standards, product tracing, and credentialing practices.
• Hands-on experience working with enterprise serialization platforms, including TraceLink and comparable serialization or manufacturing integration solutions.
• Ability to write and optimize T-SQL queries to improve data access, reporting quality, and document version control processes.
• Experience supporting Microsoft-based infrastructure and end-user technologies, including Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, Microsoft Windows Server, Citrix, and Microsoft Exchange.
• Familiarity with data analysis and visualization tools used to evaluate operational performance and present actionable insights.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, communication, and user support skills within a pharmaceutical manufacturing setting.
