Inside Technical Sales Representative Full Time M-F

Location: Mount Airy, MD (On-site)

Our client is a well-established distributor of industrial equipment and technical solutions serving customers across a variety of manufacturing, processing, and industrial markets. They are seeking an Inside Technical Sales Representative to support customers, provide technical product guidance, prepare quotations, and help drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to customer inquiries regarding industrial and technical product solutions.
• Prepare quotations, proposals, and bids based on customer requirements.
• Process orders and provide follow-up support, including order status and delivery information.
• Offer technical recommendations and product support to customers and sales team members.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships while identifying opportunities for account growth.
• Conduct outbound business development and follow up on sales opportunities.
• Communicate with manufacturing partners regarding product availability, pricing, lead times, and technical specifications.
• Maintain accurate customer and sales activity records within CRM/ERP systems.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure exceptional customer service and project execution.

This position is ideal for an individual who enjoys combining technical knowledge with customer interaction and sales support in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Qualifications:

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• Strong communication, customer service, and relationship-building skills.
• Technical aptitude with the ability to learn complex products and applications.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; CRM and ERP experience is a plus.
• Previous experience in technical sales, industrial distribution, engineering support, or related fields preferred.
