YALI Network Manager

Summary
The YALI Network Manager provides support to the Department of State's Bureau of African Affairs and reports to the Program Manager. The position is 100% on-site.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of multimedia, virtual, and in-person public diplomacy projects, defining scope, resources, timelines, and deliverables in collaboration with leadership and stakeholders.
  • Design, research, and produce video and multimedia content from concept through postproduction, including scripting, talent selection, editing, and graphic design.
  • Develop and implement digital engagement campaigns across social media platforms, email marketing, and web channels aligned with U.S. policy priorities and YALI Network objectives.
  • Manage CRM systems, content calendars, shared inboxes, audience segmentation, and outreach to YALI members, alumni, and partners
  • Monitor and report on campaign and content performance, providing strategic recommendations and lessons learned.
  • Coordinate with Department bureaus, U.S. Government agencies, and external partners on deliverables, translation services, and stakeholder communications.
  • Support online course development, special events, and day-to-day team operations.
Education and Qualifications
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and possess or be able to obtain a Secret clearance. Preference will be given to those with active security clearance.
  • University degree in video production, filmmaking, animation, journalism, communications, public relations, marketing, public diplomacy, or related field.
  • Experience managing the implementation of complex multimedia, virtual, and in-person projects, including concept development, research, script development, production, talent selection, and postproduction.
  • Proficiency in video editing software, graphic design applications, and audio recording techniques; social media platforms and engagement tools; and project management, CRM, and email marketing tools.
  • Demonstrated experience in digital marketing, audience engagement, web analytics, and campaign performance measurement.
  • Knowledge of online learning management systems and strategies and emerging trends in digital communications.
  • Familiarity with youth audiences in Sub-Saharan Africa and experience developing targeted engagement campaigns.
  • Excellent written, verbal, analytical, and problem-solving skills; ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
