JOB DESCRIPTION

Trouble Order Dispatcher

$38.62 Per Hour

DEPARTMENT:  TRANSMISSION AND DISTRIBUTION

DUTIES:  Under general directive supervision of senior trouble order dispatcher.

Performs variable duties by following established procedures and assuming responsibility for dispatching operations personnel, in providing normal or emergency service to customers.
Accepts and records all trouble calls from customers pertaining to electric service; calls may be relayed from accounting building dispatch office; dispatches cut-in, cut-out, and trouble calls by radio and by written orders to line crews for investigation and performance of necessary work to clear up the customer difficulty.
Advises district foreman or coordinator of emergencies or unusual trouble requiring the call-out of crews.  Notifies and provides to supervisor of working crew all information available and pertaining to the source of difficulty and location.  Performs above activity within established procedures.
Performs all duties in a safe manner and conforms with safety rules and procedures established by the Company.
Performs other related and assigned duties.
