We're currently seeking an Experienced Architectural Associate to join our Buildings team in our Charlotte, North Carolina office.

As an Architectural Associate, you'll join an experienced team of design professionals working on a diverse portfolio of projects. You'll contribute throughout the design process, from planning and concept development through construction documentation, while continuing to build your technical expertise and expand your career.
In this role, you'll help bring projects to life by:
- Supporting architectural planning, programming, and design for projects ranging from small to moderate in size and complexity.
- Preparing project drawings, renderings, presentations, visualizations, and construction documents using industry-standard design software.
- Assisting with site evaluations, feasibility studies, code research, impact studies, and cost analyses.
- Conducting research and investigations to support planning, design decisions, and client recommendations.
- Preparing and coordinating construction documents, specifications, and technical reports.
- Collaborating with architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, and clients throughout the project lifecycle.
- Applying building codes, zoning requirements, accessibility standards, fire codes, and other applicable regulations to project designs.
- Participating in project meetings and helping ensure projects are delivered with accuracy, quality, and attention to detail.
- Managing multiple project assignments while maintaining strong organization and communication.
- Contributing creative ideas while continuing to grow your technical and professional expertise.
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture from an accredited program and 3+ years of relevant architectural experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Degree from an NAAB-accredited program and eligibility to begin the Architect Registration Examination (ARE) process are strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of state and local building codes, zoning ordinances, fire regulations, accessibility requirements, and related governing codes.
- Proficiency with architectural production software and construction document development.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to build lasting relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and balance multiple projects.
- A passion for architecture, design excellence, and continuous learning.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional experience using Revit and AutoCAD.
- Experience working on multidisciplinary building projects.
- Comfortable shifting between multiple project assignments and deadlines in a collaborative environment.
