About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Risk Asset Review Examination Director

In this role, you will:

  • Manage and develop specialized teams of managers and professional individual contributors with focus on delivering moderate to high complexity and risk product and service for cross-functional stakeholders and internal partners associated with the function or affected by its outcomes

  • Identify and recommend opportunities for examinations of each business, risk rating integrity, portfolio quality, completeness of loan documentation, credit policy adequacy, and adherence
  • Lead Risk Asset Review Examination team by making strategic decisions to resolve highly complex issues to meet higher risk deliverables
  • Interpret and develop range of policies and procedures for loan review activities with moderate to higher complexity and risk
  • Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including more experienced managers
  • Lead team to achieve objectives
  • Interact with internal and external customers
  • Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Risk Asset Review Examination
  • Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy


Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of Risk Asset Review Examination experience or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 4+ years of Management or leadership experience

Desired Skills:

  • Strong expertise in Credit Risk, Loan Review, Risk Asset Review (RAR), and portfolio quality assessment.
  • Proven ability to lead high-performing teams, drive strategic initiatives, and manage complex risk review programs.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, policy interpretation, and cross-functional collaboration skills with senior leadership.

Job Expectations:

  • Manage and develop specialized teams of managers and professional individual contributors across both Commercial and Consumer RAR with focus on delivering moderate to high complexity and risk product and service for cross-functional stakeholders and internal partners associated with the function or affected by its outcomes
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for examinations of each business, risk rating integrity, portfolio quality, completeness of loan documentation, credit policy adequacy, and adherence
  • Lead, develop and implement strategic initiatives and processes, such as the New Borrower Review Team, to drive the business performance and efficiency
  • Build the capability of the India Commercial team to lead RAR Examinations and operate as a Commercial LRM team by making strategic decisions to resolve highly
  • complex issues to meet higher risk deliverables
  • Interpret and contribute to refining policies and procedures for loan review activities with moderate to higher complexity and risk
  • Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including more experienced managers
    Lead team to achieve objectives
  • Interact with internal and external customers
  • Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Risk Asset Review Examinations
    Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy
