About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Information Security Engineer


In this role, you will:

  • Lead or participate in computer security incident response activities for moderately complex events

  • Conduct technical investigation of security related incidents and post incident digital forensics to identify causes and recommend future mitigation strategies

  • Provide security consulting on medium projects for internal clients to ensure conformity with corporate information, security policy, and standards

  • Design, document, test, maintain, and provide issue resolution recommendations for moderately complex security solutions related to networking, cryptography, cloud, authentication and directory services, email, internet, applications, and endpoint security

  • Review and correlate security logs

  • Utilize subject matter knowledge in industry leading security solutions and best practices to implement one or more components of information security such as availability, integrity, confidentiality, risk management, threat identification, modeling, monitoring, incident response, access management, and business continuity

  • Identify security vulnerabilities and issues, perform risk assessments, and evaluate remediation alternatives

  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals


Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Information Security Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • Information Security knowledge → ProxySG, ZTNA, SSL/TLS, X.509 security technologies.
  • Security controls & policies → Access policies, decryption policies, URL filtering, custom categories.
  • Technical troubleshooting & analysis → Splunk log monitoring and analysis.
  • Enterprise cybersecurity environment experience → Proxy, Firewall, WAF, Load Balancer, and network security administration.
  • Industry security standards understanding → SSL/TLS and security protocol expertise.
  • Problem-solving skills → Building security solutions for teams and clients.
  • Technical documentation → PAC file creation and security configuration documentation.
  • Program coordination → Client/team support and solution delivery experience.
  • ServiceNow, Jira, and Confluence experience.
  • Stakeholder management and cross-functional communication skills.
  • ITIL, Six Sigma, or related service management certifications.
  • Experience supporting change, release, and incident management activities

Job Expectations:

  • Expertise in Broadcom (Symantec) ProxySG and Cloud SWG administration.
  • Strong experience in proxy policy management, URL filtering, and security controls.
  • Advanced PAC file development and optimization.
  • Solid knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policy administration.
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP, HTTP, SSL/TLS, DNS, DHCP, and proxy technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with routing, switching, load balancing, and network security.
  • Experience designing and implementing secure network architectures.
  • Skilled in cybersecurity operations, including threat mitigation, vulnerability management, application security, and incident response.
  • Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience supporting large-scale global enterprise security environments.
  • Knowledge of change management, security governance, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Ability to create and maintain technical and security documentation.
  • Effective stakeholder communication and security risk reporting.
  • Experience evaluating, implementing, and managing network security solutions.
  • Ability to coordinate projects, track milestones, and provide management updates.
  • Flexible to support on-call, after-hours, and critical incident activities
