At DePuy Synthes, we are searching for the best talent for the role of Senior Commercial Operations Specialist to support our Commercial Operations, Sports Medicine team. This position is preferably located in West Chester, PA, but also open to Raynham, MA.

Purpose:

The Senior Commercial Operations Specialist will serve as a strategic operations leader responsible for strengthening inventory management practices, enhancing reporting and analytics, and the overall effectiveness, scalability, and financial discipline of the Sports model. This role plays a critical part in translating business priorities into executable processes that support sales growth initiatives and the efficient management of company assets. This includes providing analytics that drive actions and developing solutions that help our sales teams operate efficiently. This role will build effective working relationships across sales leaders, as well as partner closely with other internal groups including supply chain, finance, and other cross-functional stakeholders. In addition, this role will look for opportunities to leverage the value of different perspectives, backgrounds, education, and experience to generate outstanding innovation and business results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepares regular and ad hoc integrated data mining and analyses for sales management to facilitate identifying potential sales and marketing opportunities.
  • Responsible for publishing standard reports to the field sales organization and other internal groups for inventory tracking purposes.
  • Build Power BI reporting, in-depth knowledge of data modeling is required.
  • Analyzes and interprets both internal and external factors that affect sales performance.
  • Provides insights to sales and marketing management on sales force effectiveness.
  • Troubleshoots inquiries about account alignments and performance data and provides counsel and actionable information.
  • Develops and conducts training in the effective use of data (third party and contracted), applications, and tools provided to make a difference in sales results produced.
  • Develops and conducts training on inventory management and best practices to field sales partners on an ongoing basis.
  • Develops and administers special projects.
  • Prepares presentations and reports to support sales conferences/meetings.
  • Utilizes or coordinates business systems to gather key information on sales, cost, and key activity information.
  • Supports Field Sales Organization (FSO) via data target tracking and regular communication with Regional Managers and Field Representatives.
  • Assists FSO with annual audits and inventory.
  • Oversee inventory governance including returns, restock discipline, and inventory transfers.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for inventory operations and managing escalations.
  • Mentor junior team members and provide leadership guidance.


Qualifications:

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree required (Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or related field)

Experience and Skills:

Required:
  • Minimum of 4-5 years business experience in sales, logistics, supply chain, finance, marketing, commercial operations, and/or related field is required.
  • Successful experience with leading and coordination of projects across multiple teams and partners is required.
  • Experience in data management, analysis and visualization, with proven track record to connect the analysis to insights that inspire action is required.
  • Strong history applying sophisticated Excel and Microsoft office applications is required.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with proficiency in interacting across all organizational levels required.
  • Creative problem-solving skills are required.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with various levels of management and external customers is required.
  • Ability to effectively develop and present oral presentations is required.
  • Up to 10% domestic travel may be required.

Preferred:
  • In-depth knowledge of PowerBI, Tableau, Qlik and/or Alteryx is strongly preferred.
  • History of applying an ERP system, i.e., SAP is preferred.
  • Experience with inventory and sales analysis is preferred.
  • Experience with process improvement is preferred.
  • Experience support field sales partners is preferred.


Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopedics business to establish a standalone orthopedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :
$79,000.00 - $127,650.00

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:
This position is eligible to participate in the Company's long-term incentive program.

Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire, employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:

Vacation -120 hours per calendar year

Sick time - 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Colorado -48 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington -56 hours per calendar year

Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays -13 days per calendar year

Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year

Parental Leave - 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child

Bereavement Leave - 240 hours for an immediate family member: 40 hours for an extended family member per calendar year
