Production Supervisor - 3rd Shift

Job Description:

To plan, organize, implement, and control production in an organizational manner to ensure safety, quality, delivery, inventory and costs are met on products that are produced effectively, efficiently, on time, within budget and in compliance with our customer expectations.   

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate associates to safely achieve shift production, quality, delivery, and cost goals.
  • Maintain a consistent leadership presence on the production floor throughout the shift.
  • Set clear expectations and hold operators accountable for attendance, performance, quality, safety, and following standard work.
  • Monitor production performance, downtime, scrap, and staffing; take action and escalate issues when needed.
  • Support Model Factory plans by reinforcing standard work, meeting cycle-time and output expectations, reducing downtime, and driving continuous improvement.
  • Ensure accurate shift documentation, including production results, downtime, staffing, overtime, and corrective actions.
  • Provide a clear and timely shift handoff to the incoming supervisor and management.
  • Effectively communicate with associates, peers, maintenance, quality, automation, materials, and leadership.
  • Make efficient use of personnel and equipment to meet the production schedule.
  • Identify and resolve production problems and assist employees with work-related issues.
  • Enforce company policies, procedures, safety requirements, and quality standards consistently.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
  • Foster teamwork and cooperation by leading by example.
  • Recommend improvements to production methods, equipment performance, product quality, and workflow.
  • Coach, train, and develop employees while addressing performance concerns promptly.
  • Assist with emergency response and serve as the senior site leader when required during third shift.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred in related field or equivalent work experience required
  • 3+ work experience in manufacturing required
  • 3+ years supervisory experience preferred
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point, Outlook, IMES a plus
  • Ability to plan, organize, and implement with attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to motivate and influence others 
  • Must be proactive in work assignments and enjoy fast paced work environment
  • Able to positively and effectively influence and disseminate information between Production and Management

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand, use hands to handle, frequently required to reach with hands and arms, and occasionally required to walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Compensation Information:

$64,500-$86,000
