Customer Service Representative

We are looking for a Customer Service Representative to join a busy wholesale distribution team in California. This Contract position is ideal for someone who enjoys staying active throughout the day while supporting customers in person, over the phone, and through order-related administrative tasks. The role combines customer interaction, data entry, and coordination of deliveries and pickups in a fast-paced onsite environment.

Responsibilities:
• Assist customers by handling incoming calls and greeting walk-in visitors with prompt, attentive service.
• Prepare and enter customer quotes through the company website, then route them for approval as needed.
• Create invoices using established templates and ensure billing information is entered accurately.
• Input invoice and order details into internal systems and Excel to maintain organized records.
• Coordinate delivery schedules and customer pickups to support smooth daily operations.
• Support customers in the yard by helping them locate plant products and answering basic questions.
• Manage order-related updates and follow through on customer requests to ensure timely resolution.

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of customer service experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Background in answering inbound calls and assisting customers with order-related questions.
• Experience with order entry, invoice processing, or similar data entry responsibilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel for routine data input tasks.
• Ability to work onsite in California, including Saturdays with a weekday off.
• Comfortable in an active role that involves regular movement rather than primarily desk-based work.
• Strong communication skills and a detail-oriented, customer-focused approach.

Compensation

$20.90-$24.20 Hourly
