Bookkeeper
A busy company in the Madison area is seeking a Bookkeeper to join their growing business. This Bookkeeper will support daily financial operations and help maintain an organized office environment. This permanent Bookkeeper opportunity is ideal for someone who can manage accounting records accurately, coordinate administrative tasks effectively, and contribute to the smooth running of the business. The Bookkeeper role combines hands-on bookkeeping with office support responsibilities in an organized setting. The ideal Bookkeeper will have worked in a small-medium sized business and is comfortable wearing many hats. Other responsibilities of this Bookkeeper will include but not be limited to:
Bookkeeper Responsibilities:
• Maintain accurate financial records by processing transactions, updating ledgers, and reconciling accounts on a routine basis.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, ensuring invoices, payments, and outstanding balances are handled promptly.
• Prepare regular financial reports and supporting documentation to assist leadership with tracking business performance.
• Oversee day-to-day office administrative functions to keep operations organized and efficient.
• Coordinate banking, deposits, and expense tracking while maintaining complete and well-ordered records.
• Support payroll-related recordkeeping and assist with collecting information needed for timely processing.
• Work with internal teams and external partners such as accountants or vendors to address financial and administrative questions.
• Assist with process updates or operational changes, including adjustments to office or accounting workflows when needed.

Qualifications:
• Demonstrated experience in bookkeeping with a strong understanding of core accounting practices.• Ability to manage financial data with a high level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail.
• Experience handling accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and financial record maintenance.
• Strong administrative and office coordination skills in a business environment that values attention to detail.
• Proficiency with bookkeeping and standard office software tools.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work across multiple responsibilities.
• Capacity to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage confidential information responsibly.
Compensation
