ERP/CRM Consultant

We are looking for an ERP/CRM Consultant to support a long-term contract engagement in Coshocton, Ohio. This role will focus on improving the effectiveness of a D365 environment by refining planning, scheduling, inventory, purchasing, and order management processes across a small but complex user group. The consultant will work closely with business stakeholders to translate operational challenges into practical system solutions, strengthen cross-functional workflows, and expand visibility into critical data and system activity.

Responsibilities:
• Assess the current D365 setup and recommend configuration changes that improve material requirements planning and overall system use.
• Partner with shipping, sales, and scheduling teams to resolve process disconnects and create clearer ownership across order fulfillment activities.
• Evaluate how multiple scheduling tools are being used and design a more efficient approach that reduces manual handoffs and duplicate data entry.
• Support optimization of product and rules-based workflows, including complex variant-driven requirements and job shop planning considerations.
• Identify suitable add-ons, integrations, or configuration enhancements that improve usability and operational visibility within the ERP environment.
• Review current reporting methods and develop better ways to capture, organize, and analyze business data beyond spreadsheet-based pivot reporting.
• Strengthen processes related to asset management, inventory control, work orders, and purchasing to improve accuracy and coordination.
• Define system access, transaction permissions, and notification rules for external order entry by affiliated business users.
• Document business requirements and translate them into system configuration, API, or development recommendations aligned with operational needs.

Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience working as an ERP or CRM consultant in business-critical operational environments.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365, including configuration and process improvement across supply chain or operations functions.
• Ability to gather requirements, produce business requirement documentation, and convert business needs into technical or functional solutions.
• Experience with configuration management and identifying effective system enhancements for complex workflows.
• Familiarity with API development or integration approaches that connect ERP platforms with supporting applications.
• Background in client-side scripting or platform customization to improve usability and workflow performance.
• Exposure to Salesforce development or related CRM technologies is helpful.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work directly with end users, schedulers, and operational stakeholders.
