Bilingual Human Resources (HR) Generalist
Responsibilities:
• Oversee biweekly payroll preparation by reviewing time records, tracking attendance details, and processing time-off requests accurately and on schedule.
• Lead recruiting efforts from job posting through candidate communication, interview coordination, and pre-employment follow-up, while maintaining strong partnerships with staffing agencies.
• Prepare employment offers and manage the full onboarding experience, including orientation, new employee paperwork, and employment eligibility verification.
• Administer employee benefit programs such as medical, dental, vision, retirement plans, supplemental coverage, and COBRA, and coordinate annual open enrollment activities through the benefits platform.
• Serve as a resource for employee relations matters by addressing workplace concerns, supporting investigations, and helping document corrective action and separation processes.
• Manage leave-related administration, including family and medical leave requests, unemployment claims, and related employee communications.
• Help maintain compliance with HR policies and workplace regulations by updating handbook content, communicating policy changes, and supporting required recordkeeping.
• Coordinate employee engagement activities such as appreciation events, milestone recognition, workplace celebrations, and internal newsletter content distribution.
• Maintain inventory and ordering for employee-related supplies and branded materials, including safety items, uniforms, tools, and promotional products.
Qualifications:
• Fluency in both English and Spanish, with the ability to communicate clearly with a diverse workforce.• Previous experience in a broad HR generalist role that includes recruiting, onboarding, payroll support, benefits administration, and employee relations.
• Strong interest in recruitment and talent acquisition, with the ability to manage hiring activity as a meaningful part of the role.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel for spreadsheet management, tracking, and basic formulas.
• Knowledge of HR systems and standard employment processes, including onboarding documentation and employment eligibility verification.
• Ability to work a permanent schedule that may regularly exceed 40 hours per week based on business needs.
• Strong organizational skills, sound judgment, and the ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.
Compensation
