Cost Accountant / Manufacturing Accountant
Location: Plainview, Long Island, NY
Anna Parson, Robert Half is working with a well-established manufacturing company in Plainview, Long Island, NY seeking either an experienced Cost Accountant or a motivated Accountant with manufacturing experience who is eager to develop expertise in cost accounting. As the Cost Accountant / Manufacturing Accountant, you will:
- Analyze product costs, inventory transactions, and manufacturing variances leveraging your strong analytical skills and advanced Excel
- Assist with month-end close, account reconciliations, financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting
- Support inventory accounting and costing processes including Bill of Materials reviews and updates
- Partner with operations and production teams to improve financial visibility
- Monitor material, labor, and overhead costs, allocations and identify trends
- Help maintain accurate inventory records and support physical inventory counts
- Participate in process improvement initiatives and special projects

Qualifications:
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Manufacturing accounting experience required
- Prior cost accounting experience is highly preferred but not required
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Advanced proficiency with Excel and accounting/ERP systems
- Motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to learn and grow professionally
Compensation
