A well-established and growing plaintiff-side personal injury law firm is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal to join its New York team. This full-time, onsite opportunity is ideal for a seasoned litigation paralegal with extensive experience handling New York plaintiff personal injury matters through both pre-litigation and litigation. The ideal candidate is highly organized, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is comfortable managing a high-volume caseload while providing comprehensive support to attorneys throughout the litigation process.


Responsibilities

  • Manage a high-volume plaintiff personal injury caseload during the litigation phase.
  • Draft litigation documents including pleadings, Bills of Particulars, discovery responses, authorizations, stipulations, motions, and other case-related filings.
  • Prepare, file, and serve legal documents through NYSCEF while ensuring compliance with New York court rules and filing deadlines.
  • Coordinate depositions, court conferences, independent medical examinations (IMEs), mediations, arbitrations, and other litigation-related proceedings.
  • Review, organize, and maintain medical records, billing records, employment records, insurance documentation, and other case materials.
  • Prepare medical chronologies, deposition summaries, document indexes, and attorney trial or hearing materials.
  • Monitor litigation deadlines, maintain accurate case calendars, and proactively follow up on outstanding discovery and case requirements.
  • Communicate regularly with clients, attorneys, opposing counsel, courts, medical providers, expert witnesses, and court reporting services regarding case progression.
  • Maintain organized electronic case files within the firm's case management system.
  • Assist attorneys with preparation for depositions, settlement conferences, mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and trial-related proceedings.




Qualifications:

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience; paralegal certificate preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of plaintiff personal injury litigation paralegal experience in New York.
  • Strong knowledge of New York litigation procedures and NYSCEF filing requirements.
  • Experience with legal case management software (such as Litify or similar platforms), eCourts, and legal research databases.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines in a high-volume practice.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Collaborative team player with professional interpersonal skills.
  • Adaptable to changing priorities, technology, and workflow demands.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and the highest ethical standards.



Compensation

$80,000.00-$85,000.00 Yearly
