Accounting Manager
Responsibilities:
• Direct the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring results are accurate, complete, and delivered on schedule.
• Manage general ledger activity, journal entries, account reconciliations, and the month-end close process across multiple entities.
• Oversee day-to-day accounting functions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash reconciliation activities to maintain reliable financial records.
• Lead audit coordination efforts and act as the main point of contact for external auditors during annual reviews and other reporting requirements.
• Establish, monitor, and refine internal controls, accounting procedures, and compliance practices to protect assets and support sound financial governance.
• Drive budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis initiatives to help leadership evaluate performance, profitability, and cost-management opportunities.
• Review intercompany activity, vendor commitments, and contract-related financial considerations to support business objectives and budget alignment.
• Supervise, coach, and develop accounting and administrative staff while promoting accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Use accounting systems and financial data tools to improve reporting efficiency, streamline workflows, and support informed operational decisions.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.• At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including 2 or more years in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
• Strong command of general ledger management, month-end close, journal entries, and account reconciliation processes.
• Proven ability to prepare financial statements and support financial statement audit activities.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, compliance standards, budgeting, and financial reporting requirements.
• Experience working with accounting software and the ability to adapt quickly to new systems and technologies.
• Background in construction or project-based accounting is preferred.
• Experience with RealPage is a plus.
