Investment Manager
Responsibilities:
• Act as the main point of contact between the foundation and outside service providers, including custodians, investment managers, and other key partners.
• Oversee the timely processing of private market activity such as capital calls, commitment tracking, and related fund movements.
• Contribute to manager research, portfolio reviews, performance analysis, and preparation of investment reporting materials.
• Maintain thorough records of investment actions, recommendations, and supporting documentation to meet governance, compliance, and audit expectations.
• Improve and formalize investment workflows, including procedures connected to an outsourced investment management structure.
• Create and deliver educational sessions that help staff understand core investment concepts, portfolio oversight, and governance practices.
• Organize policies, procedures, committee documents, and other investment materials within SharePoint for easy access and consistency.
• Partner with internal teams to expand investment knowledge across the organization and promote a stronger understanding of the foundation's portfolio approach.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a closely related discipline.
• At least 7 years of experience in institutional investing, portfolio management, investment operations, consulting, or a similar environment, including CFA Level concepts.
• Strong knowledge of portfolio construction, investment analysis, and operational processes across traditional and alternative asset classes.
• Hands-on experience managing private equity or other alternative investment activity, including capital call administration.
• Familiarity with investment governance, committee support, compliance documentation, and audit-ready recordkeeping.
• Ability to work effectively with external managers, custodians, and internal stakeholders in an advisory capacity.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain investment topics to varied audiences.
• Experience with SharePoint and credentials related to institutional investing are valued.
