Mergers & Acquisitions Analyst

Compensation: $75 to $90 Hourly

Robert Half Management Resources is recruiting for a Mergers & Acquisitions Manager consultant to support a confidential production company based in Los Angeles, California. This senior consultant will partner closely with leadership to support high-priority transaction activity, financial evaluation, and strategic business initiatives. The role calls for an individual who can interpret complex financial information, respond to sensitive stakeholder requests, and provide clear recommendations in a fast-paced environment.


The ideal senior consultant will have a strong blend of mergers & acquisitions, financial analysis, audit, and project management experience, coupled with the ability to communicate complex financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.


Responsibilities:

• Lead financial support for active merger & acquisitions transactions and due diligence efforts by organizing, reviewing, and delivering information requested by investors, advisors, and stakeholders.

• Examine financial data sets, validate underlying assumptions, and develop concise analyses that inform strategic decision-making during acquisition-related discussions.

• Identify reporting issues, financial risks, and inconsistencies by applying a critical review approach to statements, schedules, and supporting documentation.

• Prepare well-developed materials and summary insights designed for external review, ensuring accuracy and readiness for detailed scrutiny.

• Communicate transaction-related findings in a way that helps executives and non-financial partners understand business impact and next steps.

• Provide forward-looking input to leadership by assessing possible deal outcomes and highlighting operational or financial considerations tied to each scenario.

• Offer supplemental guidance across accounting activities when additional oversight is needed to maintain continuity during periods of heightened strategic activity.

• Coordinate special initiatives such as payroll platform implementation, expense process automation, budgeting workflow updates, and other cross-functional operational projects.


Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience in accounting, finance, transaction advisory, audit, or mergers and acquisitions consulting.

• Proven background supporting acquisitions, due diligence reviews, investment activity, or related transaction processes.

• Strong command of financial statements, reporting practices, and core accounting operations.

• Experience with financial modeling, risk assessment, and evaluation of audited financial information.

• Ability to challenge assumptions, detect gaps in financial data, and draw sound conclusions under tight timelines.

• Confidence presenting financial matters to executives, investors, and stakeholders with varying levels of financial expertise.

• Demonstrated success managing multiple priorities independently in confidential, rapidly changing environments.

• Strong project coordination skills, including experience contributing to operational improvements or system-related implementations


Compensation

$75.00-$90.00 Hourly
