Accounting Clerk
Responsibilities:
• Manage daily accounts payable activity, including entering invoices and helping ensure timely and accurate processing.
• Complete account reconciliations and review balance sheet activity to identify discrepancies and support accurate reporting.
• Contribute to month-end and year-end close by preparing entries, validating financial data, and maintaining organized documentation.
• Assist with the preparation of reports related to accounts payable, diversity tracking, and other recurring financial reporting needs.
• Investigate unmatched receipts, open invoices, and payment variances, then follow through to resolve outstanding items.
• Prepare and post journal entries while maintaining clear and accurate records of financial transactions.
• Support tax preparation, audit activities, and quarterly physical inventory counts by gathering data and coordinating required documentation.
• Review employee expense submissions, reconcile related records, and assist with travel arrangement coordination as needed.
• Partner with internal teams to improve accounting workflows, strengthen financial controls, and provide analysis that supports business decisions.
Qualifications:
• Experience supporting accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and invoice processing.• Working knowledge of core accounting practices and the ability to maintain accuracy in financial records.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks and confidence using accounting systems for data entry and transaction review.
• Strong data entry skills with a high level of attention to detail and organization.
• Ability to research discrepancies, reconcile accounts, and resolve payment-related issues efficiently.
• Comfortable assisting with close activities, reporting tasks, and documentation for audits or tax-related work.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a detail-oriented environment.
Compensation
