Director of Accounting
Responsibilities:
• Lead the accounting team by setting priorities, providing direction, and ensuring day-to-day accounts payable and accounts receivable activities are completed accurately and on schedule.
• Design and execute operational plans that improve productivity, increase effectiveness, and keep accounting objectives aligned with broader business goals.
• Evaluate existing workflows and internal controls, introduce enhancements where needed, and communicate updates clearly to support smooth adoption across impacted teams.
• Oversee accounting operations to ensure adherence to company policies, departmental procedures, and established compliance standards.
• Manage and develop direct reports through clear expectations, thoughtful delegation, ongoing coaching, and proactive performance management.
• Review departmental spending against budget, address variances before additional costs are incurred, and partner with cross-functional leaders to identify efficiency opportunities.
• Monitor progress toward key goals and respond quickly to risks or issues that could affect service levels, accuracy, or team performance.
• Maintain dependable participation in meetings and business activities while supporting timely completion of accounting deliverables and organizational commitments.
Qualifications:
• CPA designation required.• Strong experience leading month-end close activities in a complex accounting environment.
• Hands-on knowledge of BlackLine and its use in reconciliation, close management, or related accounting processes.
• Demonstrated success managing financial reporting and supporting financial statement audit activities.
• Proven ability to build, lead, and develop high-performing accounting teams.
• Deep understanding of internal controls, compliance practices, and process improvement within accounting operations.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to work effectively across departments.
Compensation
