Sr. Accountant
Responsibilities:
• Manage balance sheet, bank, and general ledger reconciliations to ensure accuracy and timely resolution of outstanding items.
• Contribute to monthly and annual closing activities by preparing journal entries, reviewing account activity, and maintaining organized supporting documentation.
• Produce internal financial reports and analysis packages that help leadership evaluate performance and make informed business decisions.
• Review operating results against budget and forecast, including analysis of capital spending and other key financial trends.
• Support planning cycles by assisting with budget preparation, financial projections, and related reporting needs.
• Work with finance leadership to identify opportunities to streamline workflows, strengthen controls, and improve accounting processes.
• Help coordinate the handoff of selected accounting tasks to a support team and maintain alignment on deliverables and timelines.
• Participate in ad hoc accounting assignments and special initiatives that support departmental and organizational goals.
Qualifications:
• At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience in roles with responsibility for close activities and financial analysis.• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise in month-end close, journal entry preparation, account reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to work efficiently with large data sets and reporting schedules.
• Experience using ERP systems is required, and familiarity with Acumatica is strongly preferred.
• Background in budgeting, forecasting, and capital expenditure review is highly valued.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines independently in a fast-paced, onsite work environment.
• Exposure to automation tools, AI-enabled solutions, or continuous process improvement efforts is a plus.
