Medical Administrative Assistant
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate patient arrivals, appointment scheduling, and front desk activities through Epic to support a smooth clinic experience.
• Enter, update, and maintain patient information with a high level of accuracy while keeping records organized and current.
• Partner with providers, nursing staff, and clinic personnel to keep daily operations aligned and running efficiently.
• Answer incoming phone calls, respond to routine questions, and direct messages or concerns to the appropriate team members.
• Maintain a welcoming and orderly reception area for patients and visitors.
• Prepare administrative documents, routine reports, and other clinic-related materials to support operational needs.
• Assist with day-to-day office tasks and help balance shifting priorities in a busy healthcare setting.
• Support clear communication between patients and care teams to help ensure timely follow-up and coordinated service.
• Handle administrative work in accordance with privacy standards, confidentiality expectations, and healthcare compliance requirements.
Qualifications:
• Prior experience in an administrative, reception, or front desk capacity within a healthcare or clinical setting.• Hands-on proficiency with Epic for appointment coordination, registration, and patient record support.
• Working knowledge of primary care workflows; exposure to clinical trial operations is beneficial.
• Strong organizational skills with careful attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients and staff.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, adjust to changing demands, and stay productive in a fast-paced environment.
• Understanding of patient privacy practices and healthcare compliance standards.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional healthcare administration training or certification is a plus.
Compensation
