Paralegal
Responsibilities:
• Maintain organized case binders and legal files by assembling pleadings, correspondence, financial records, and other matter-related documents.
• Review case status checklists, confirm completed tasks, and track upcoming deadlines to help ensure matters remain on schedule.
• Prepare, revise, and manage discovery materials, including interrogatories, requests for production, and related responses.
• Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, letters, and supporting case materials for attorney review.
• Assist with trial and hearing preparation by gathering exhibits, organizing evidence, and coordinating required documentation.
• Support attorneys handling civil litigation and family law matters through consistent case management and document control.
• Record time accurately and maintain a daily billable workload of approximately 6 to 7 hours.
• Use case management and timekeeping systems, including ProLaw, to monitor files, deadlines, and billing activity.
Qualifications:
• Certified Paralegal designation required.
• At least 3 years of paralegal experience, preferably within civil litigation or family law.
• Hands-on experience handling discovery requests, discovery responses, and document production.
• Demonstrated ability to draft legal correspondence, pleadings, motions, and other case-related documents.
• Familiarity with trial preparation and management of litigation files from active case stages through hearing or trial support.
• Proficiency with case management software and legal billing tools, including ProLaw or similar platforms; will need to bill7-7 hours per day.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage deadlines, prioritize tasks, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced setting.
