Controller
We are looking for an experienced Controller to lead core accounting activities and provide reliable financial oversight for a real-estate development organization in Allentown, Pennsylvania. This position will oversee reporting, budgeting, and day-to-day accounting functions while supporting accurate documentation and records management. The ideal candidate brings strong financial leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain organized processes across both accounting and document-related workflows.
Responsibilities:
• Direct daily accounting operations and maintain accurate financial records across the organization.
• Account for CAPEX/real estate development projects.
• Prepare timely financial statements and management reports to support business decisions.
• Lead annual budgeting efforts, including planning, analysis, and monitoring of financial performance against targets.
• Oversee real estate project accounting activities and ensure costs are tracked and reported correctly.
• Establish and maintain effective document control practices for financial and operational records.
• Coordinate document scanning and filing processes to improve record accuracy, accessibility, and compliance.
• Review accounting procedures and internal controls to promote consistency and reduce risk.
• Partner with leadership to analyze financial results and recommend process improvements where needed.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience in a Controller or senior accounting leadership role.• Strong background in financial reporting and accounting operations.
• Experience managing annual budget preparation and financial planning activities.
• Knowledge of real estate project accounting and cost tracking practices.
• Ability to organize, compile, scan, and maintain business documents with a high degree of accuracy.
• Strong understanding of internal controls, reporting standards, and record management principles.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Compensation
