Compensation: $45 to $50 Hourly

We are looking for an experienced Database Management IV specialist with strong attention to detail to support complex database administration initiatives. This long-term contract position is suited for a senior specialist who can guide database design, strengthen data reliability, and help deliver high-impact technical outcomes across multiple functions. The role calls for strong judgment, clear communication, and the ability to resolve advanced database challenges while collaborating with internal stakeholders and external partners.

Responsibilities:
• Lead the planning, design, and ongoing administration of database environments to support business and program objectives.
• Create and maintain database structures, technical documentation, and operational standards that promote stability, security, and scalability.
• Monitor data quality and enforce controls that protect accuracy, consistency, and overall integrity across database systems.
• Oversee backup, recovery, and restoration practices to ensure business continuity and dependable system performance.
• Evaluate existing database tools and platforms, recommending improvements, upgrades, and optimization opportunities where needed.
• Troubleshoot complex database issues that affect multiple teams or technical areas and develop effective long-term solutions.
• Partner with cross-functional teams, client representatives, and third-party vendors to align database solutions with project requirements.
• Provide technical guidance, knowledge sharing, and process support to team members while influencing sound implementation approaches.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree with 8–12 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 6–10 years of related experience; advanced doctoral study may also be considered.
• Demonstrated expertise in database administration, database design, and database management principles in complex technical environments.
• Strong background in backup and recovery procedures, documentation practices, and data integrity controls.
• Ability to solve sophisticated technical problems using sound judgment, creativity, and advanced analytical thinking.
• Effective communication skills with experience working across internal teams, clients, vendors, or subcontractors.
• Experience supporting database upgrades, enhancements, and operational procedures in structured environments.
• Proven ability to contribute to large projects with accountability for deliverables spanning multiple technical disciplines.

Compensation

$45.00-$50.00 Hourly
