Attorney/Lawyer
Responsibilities:
• Oversee a portfolio of personal injury litigation matters from handoff through settlement, mediation, or trial outcome.
• Build case strength by directing medical documentation review, coordinating expert involvement, and organizing evidence related to liability and damages.
• Manage written discovery, deposition preparation, and motion drafting while ensuring compliance with court procedures and litigation strategy.
• Prepare matters for mediation and trial by developing exhibits, assisting with witness readiness, and supporting overall case presentation.
• Partner with firm leadership to assess case direction, identify elevated-risk issues, and seek guidance on complex or high-value disputes.
• Work closely with paralegals and legal support staff to maintain timely filings, discovery responses, and well-organized case materials.
• Track deadlines, limitation periods, lien considerations, and file documentation to safeguard case progress and client recovery.
• Maintain clear communication with clients, opposing counsel, and the court while upholding ethical standards and firm expectations.
Qualifications:
• Juris Doctor degree and active license to practice law in Texas in good standing.• At least 3 years of experience in civil litigation, with personal injury litigation experience strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to draft motions, prepare briefs, conduct discovery, and support deposition and mediation efforts.
• Solid knowledge of litigation procedures, trial preparation, and case development in plaintiff personal injury matters.
• Ability to manage multiple active files, balance competing deadlines, and maintain accurate documentation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with sound analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency with legal technology and case management platforms used to organize and advance litigation files.
• Commitment to professionalism, accountability, teamwork, and a constructive office environment.
Compensation
