Accountant

We are looking for an Accountant to join a team in Beaumont, Texas in a Contract to permanent capacity. This position is suited for a detail-oriented accounting specialist who can manage day-to-day financial activity while supporting accurate reporting and compliance. The role offers the opportunity to contribute across multiple accounting functions, including transaction processing, reconciliations, and audit preparation.

Responsibilities:
• Manage end-to-end accounting activities, including processing vendor invoices and overseeing customer billing and collections.
• Maintain accurate financial records by preparing account reconciliations and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Perform regular bank reconciliations and support the integrity of cash reporting across accounts.
• Assist with general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and month-end close activities to ensure reliable financial reporting.
• Support audit readiness by organizing documentation, responding to requests, and helping maintain compliance with accounting standards.
• Participate in annual inventory accounting tasks, including record validation and variance follow-up.
• Use advanced Excel skills to analyze financial data, prepare reports, and improve accuracy in recurring accounting processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
• Hands-on experience in full-cycle accounting across payables, receivables, and general ledger functions.
• Proven ability to complete account reconciliations and bank reconciliations with a high level of accuracy.
• Working knowledge of audit support processes and financial documentation requirements.
• Experience contributing to inventory-related accounting activities is preferred.
• Strong Excel skills, including the ability to organize, analyze, and report financial information effectively.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

Compensation

$23.75-$27.50 Hourly
