Administrative Coordinator
Responsibilities:
• Build and maintain relationships with employers throughout the local service area to increase awareness of available business support programs and workforce resources.
• Meet with partner organizations and hiring businesses to understand open positions, identify required skills, and help align suitable candidates with current opportunities.
• Work closely with training and workforce partners to recognize active participants who may be a strong fit for emerging employment pathways and development programs.
• Review labor market data and prepare summaries that support informed decisions about competitive training options and workforce priorities.
• Participate in rapid response activities related to layoffs or business closures, partnering with leadership to support affected employers and workers.
• Conduct follow-up outreach with business contacts to evaluate service outcomes, gather feedback, and recommend ways to improve program effectiveness.
• Coordinate communication among internal teams and external partners to support collaboration, shared planning, and continued growth opportunities.
• Maintain accurate records in internal databases and complete required tracking and reporting activities on an ongoing basis.
• Represent the organization at job fairs, community gatherings, committee meetings, and employer-focused events while maintaining an effective presence.
• Provide additional administrative, outreach, and event support as needed, including occasional evening and weekend availability when required.
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in administrative coordination, workforce services, community outreach, or a related field.• Experience supporting job fairs, hiring events, or other community-based employment activities.
• Knowledge of employer engagement practices, job posting coordination, and business outreach strategies.
• Ability to gather, interpret, and summarize labor market information for planning and decision-making purposes.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills for working with employers, community partners, and program participants.
• Proficiency in maintaining databases, preparing reports, and managing detailed administrative records.
• Background in human services, non-profit programs, or workforce development environments is preferred.
• Flexibility to work outside standard business hours, including evenings and weekends, when business needs require it.
Compensation
