VP/ Director of Finance

We are seeking an experienced Vice President of Finance & Accounting to provide executive-level financial leadership for a portfolio of organizations. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and governing boards, overseeing financial strategy, accounting operations, budgeting, forecasting, compliance, audits, and long-term planning initiatives. The role also includes leading and developing finance teams, strengthening client relationships, driving operational excellence, and supporting business growth and strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic financial guidance to executive leadership and boards.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.
• Lead audit preparation and regulatory reporting efforts.
• Manage and develop high-performing accounting and finance teams.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships and support business development activities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA strongly preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, audits, compliance, and strategic financial planning.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor accounting and finance professionals.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and financial systems.
• Preferred experience within nonprofit, education, government, charter school, or outsourced (public) accounting environments.
• Excellent communication, analytical, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
