Sr. Accountant

Robert Half is seeking an experienced Sr. Accountant to join a manufacturing company in Vancouver, Washington on a contract basis with the potential for a permanent position. This position plays a key role in supporting daily accounting operations, strengthening financial accuracy, and partnering with teams across sales, operations, and administration. The ideal candidate brings strong general ledger knowledge, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment while maintaining high standards of compliance and service.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post journal entries, maintain supporting schedules, and contribute to an accurate and timely month-end close process.

• Reconcile general ledger accounts, bank activity, and other balance sheet items to ensure the integrity of financial records.

• Partner with accounts payable and accounts receivable teams to resolve complex discrepancies across multiple locations and support smooth transaction processing.

• Oversee reporting and reconciliation activities related to third-party sales channels and external selling partners, helping improve visibility and control.

• Complete monthly and quarterly multi-state filings in accordance with applicable regulatory and reporting requirements.

• Review accounting procedures and internal controls, document standard work instructions, and create templates or worksheets that improve consistency and efficiency.

• Maintain centralized records for recurring financial commitments such as subscriptions, payment methods, and other standard expense items.

• Support inventory- and reseller-related billing processes, including coordination tied to 3PL activity, sales tracking, and related reconciliations.

• Assist with special projects involving international operations, banking-related initiatives, analytics, and broader process improvements across the business.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance, with a strong working knowledge of core accounting functions within a business environment.
• Proven experience with month-end close, general ledger activity, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• Familiarity with bank reconciliations, cash management practices, and maintaining accurate financial data.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting, manage competing deadlines, and operate independently with limited oversight.
• High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail when handling financial records and reporting tasks.
• Experience using standard office software and accounting systems, including QuickBooks Enterprise or similar platforms.
• Working knowledge of inventory-related accounting in a manufacturing, distribution, or product-based organization.
• Intermediate Excel skills, including the ability to build recurring-use templates, apply formulas, and analyze financial information.

Compensation

$38.00-$43.00 Hourly
