Human Resources (HR) Generalist

We are looking for an HR Generalist to support a busy restaurants and catering organization in West Hollywood, California through a Contract assignment. This role will contribute across core people operations, helping employees and managers navigate day-to-day HR matters while keeping administrative processes organized and compliant. The ideal candidate brings a balanced background in employee relations, onboarding, benefits support, and HR systems, along with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced service environment.

Responsibilities:
• Guide employees and supervisors on routine workplace concerns, policy interpretation, and people-related matters with professionalism and discretion.
• Coordinate the onboarding experience for new hires, including preparing documentation, tracking completion steps, and helping create a smooth start for employees.
• Maintain accurate personnel records and support essential HR administration tasks such as file management, status updates, and general documentation.
• Assist with benefits-related activities by answering employee questions, supporting enrollments, and helping resolve routine coverage or eligibility issues.
• Update and manage information within the HRIS to help ensure employee data remains current, reliable, and properly documented.
• Partner with leadership and internal stakeholders to support consistent HR practices across the organization’s restaurant and catering operations.
• Monitor compliance-related processes and help ensure HR activities align with company guidelines and applicable employment requirements.
• Contribute to special HR projects and process improvements as needed, including operational updates that affect employee records or workflows.

Qualifications:

• Experience supporting employee relations matters and responding to workplace questions in a detail-oriented HR setting.
• Working knowledge of HR administration, including employee documentation, recordkeeping, and process coordination.
• Hands-on experience managing onboarding activities for new employees from pre-start preparation through initial orientation steps.
• Familiarity with benefits administration and the ability to assist employees with routine benefit-related inquiries.
• Proficiency using HRIS platforms to enter, update, and maintain employee information accurately.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively across different levels of the organization.

Compensation

$30.00-$40.00 Hourly
