Senior Accountant – Full-Time Engagement Professional

Robert Half is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant for a full-time engagement opportunity with one of our valued clients. This role is ideal for an accounting professional who excels in financial reporting, general ledger management, reconciliations, and process improvement. The successful candidate will bring strong technical accounting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced business environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reporting packages
• Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and adjustments
• Perform month-end and year-end close processes while ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Review financial data and identify trends, variances, and opportunities for process improvements
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities
• Assist with internal and external audit preparation and provide supporting documentation
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements
• Maintain accurate accounting records and documentation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and leadership
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve reporting efficiency

Qualifications:

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles
• Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, and journal entries
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting systems
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA certification or progress toward CPA preferred
• Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics
• Public accounting or large corporate accounting experience
• Experience supporting process improvements and automation initiatives
