Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Entry-Level Accountant to join our clients team in Crafton, PA. This role is ideal for a recent accounting graduate or an early-career professional looking to build a strong foundation in corporate accounting and finance. The successful candidate will support daily accounting operations, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and data analysis while leveraging advanced Excel skills to improve reporting accuracy and efficiency.
This position offers excellent growth potential and hands-on exposure to a variety of accounting functions in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and accounting documentation.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts.
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed.
- Analyze financial data and identify discrepancies, trends, or areas requiring further investigation.
- Develop, maintain, and improve financial reports using advanced Microsoft Excel tools and functions.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for audits and financial reviews.
- Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and internal controls.
- Collaborate with finance and operational teams to gather and validate financial information.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reporting accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 0–2 years of accounting, finance, internship, or related experience.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Compensation
