Director of Parish Administation
Supervision and oversight of the business functions of the church
Finance, Budget, Payroll/Benefits, and Development
Communications and Content, including brand management, website, and social media
Facilities Management
Preschool Operations
Ministry Coordination and Hospitality
Manage the recruitment and utilization of volunteers in support of administrative tasks and special projects
Prepare for and lead Staff Meetings, noting action items, required resources, and the person(s) responsible for follow-through
Maintain church membership, active participation, and attendance records
Manage the Parish Registry of:
Pastoral Acts: baptisms, confirmations, weddings, and funerals
Membership: baptized, confirmed, and received as new members (by transfer or affirmation of faith)
Removal from membership: transfers to other congregations, death, inactivity, and/or statistical adjustments
Active participation (received Holy Communion, contributed, and/or attendance)
Roster of inactive members
Manage membership directory software (ShelbyNext)
Oversee record management of attendance and statistics to include worship attendance and participation in Faith Formation
Oversee visitor tracking and reception of new members:
Track visitors and prospective members (gather names and contact information) for follow-up by the Evangelism Team and Pastors
Prepare invitations to prospective members to attend a New Disciples class, assemble new member packets, and complete administrative tasks for the reception of new members
Lead Human Resources
Supervise the performance of all employees (and volunteers) within the Parish and Staff Administration areas
Maintain personnel records in coordination with Personnel Committee
Organize and implement cross-training for administrative staff
Oversee and manage time clock and payroll systems
Manage or delegate the management of staff vacation, continuing education, and sick/personal days off
Be the point of contact for issues related to harassment, injuries on the job, etc.
Oversee and coordinate registration and payment for retreats and special events with appropriate staff
Manage master calendar and coordinate facility use
Congregation Council and Endowment Foundation Board Meetings
Ministry Teams and Committee Meetings
Outside Groups
Special Events
As a member of the senior leadership team, collaborate, develop, and execute plans that support church ministry programs and effective business operations
Maintain awareness of overarching plans for all programs and departments
Take notes at Senior Staff meetings to capture action items, required resources, and person(s) responsible for follow-through
Facilitate strategic planning and implementation. Support the Senior Pastor by tracking strategic goals and “Big Rock” projects, clarifying various plans of action, tracking progress, and celebrating successful execution/completion
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree required
Master’s Degree in an appropriate specialty strongly preferred: Business Administration, Management, Divinity, Human Resources, Communications, and others.
Pertinent certifications are a plus.

Compensation
