This position is for the Division of Endocrinology within the Department of Pediatrics.
The PI seeks to recruit an enthusiastic research assistant to participate in a type 1 diabetes research program focused on designing, testing, and implementing patient and provider-facing interventions and tools that maximize innovative technology to optimize outcomes for every child with type 1 diabetes. The research assistant would participate in a variety of research studies spanning mixed methods, human-centered design, and cohort studies.
Equivalent relevant work experience may be substituted for degree requirement. The salary range for this part-time position will be prorated based on 53% effort as the position is 20 hours per week. This position is located at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh in Lawrenceville. PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check, and FBI Criminal Record Check will be required prior to the start of employment. Job Summary
Conducts research assessments and procedures independently. Oversees operations when leadership is unavailable. Recruits and screens participants, reviews records and surveys, and maintains databases. Performs routine data analysis and prepares reports, data visualizations, and models.
Essential Functions
Specific activities will include: regulatory activities, participant recruitment, consenting, quantitative data collection and management, qualitative data collection and analysis, participant payments, and community engagement activities.
