Graphic Designer
Perform a variety of duties involved in the design and layout of printed and graphic materials; perform routine and complex duties in the preparation of printing specifications.
Work Performed
Prepare design layouts and specifications for posters, booklets, brochures and other printed and graphic materials.
Maintain a consistent identity of the University of Pittsburgh by following the departmental brand guidelines while meeting University’s marketing requirements
Meet with SSW partners as needed to develop design concepts, gather information, discuss alternatives, gain approval and review publications.
Maintain liaison with SSW partners to communicate job specifications and ensure deadlines are met.
Keep abreast of recent developments and technologies in the graphic arts field.
Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Education/Training
Work requires the ability to perform skilled and creative graphic arts functions generally acquired through two years post-secondary training in graphic or commercial arts or a related field.
Experience
Work generally requires 5-10 years of graphic arts or related experience to acquire knowledge of and skill in design and layout methods and techniques.
Or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.
