Administrative Assistant
The Department of Physical Therapy is seeking a part-time employee to provide administrative and office support for the department. This role serves as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, managing daily office operations such as mail and deliveries, supply inventory, and campus errands. The position also involves preparing and editing technical documents, maintaining confidentiality of sensitive materials, and performing clerical duties including data entry and website updates. Additionally, the employee will provide logistical support for department special events and projects, and will assist the Department Chair with scheduling, calendar management, and communication with faculty, staff, and students regarding department activities and procedures. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to work independently with strong written and verbal communication skills.
Must be able to use a computer, Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Adobe, and have a working knowledge of University Policies and Procedures.
Position is sedentary: must be able to sit for up to 8 hours per day. Must be able to reach and bend for office supplies and files. Must be able to lift or carry up to 25 pounds.
