Manager, Responsible Business Operations & Governance
We are looking for a strategic and highly organized, detail-oriented individual to support responsible business operations and governance for a long-term contract opportunity in Westerville, Ohio. This role will help drive enterprise priorities by strengthening coordination, improving governance routines, and keeping leadership informed on progress, risks, and key commitments. The ideal candidate brings experience managing cross-functional programs, translating complex requirements into practical action plans, and building operating structures that improve consistency and execution.
Responsibilities:
• Drive execution of responsible business/ESG initiatives by coordinating timelines, priorities, and enterprise commitments across multiple teams.
• Manage governance activities by maintaining workplans, action trackers, reporting cadences, and documentation that support effective decision-making.
• Partner with stakeholders across legal, finance, procurement, operations, human resources, communications, and related functions to align efforts and resolve interdependencies.
• Develop and refine operating frameworks, tools, and governance methods that improve scalability, transparency, and organizational performance.
• Lead process enhancement efforts that strengthen the efficiency and maturity of responsible business programs and oversight structures.
• Support planning and coordination for annual responsible business reporting and related disclosures, including stakeholder engagement and progress tracking.
• Monitor regulatory readiness activities tied to sustainability, climate, supply chain, governance, and broader corporate responsibility obligations.
• Help convert emerging regulatory and business requirements into actionable roadmaps, implementation plans, and leadership updates.
• Coordinate business operations support such as consultant engagement, budget-related tracking, invoices, purchase orders, and vendor activities as needed.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in business, public policy, communications, sustainability, project management, organizational leadership, finance, legal studies, environmental studies, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience in program management, ESG, governance, business operations, consulting, compliance, sustainability, communications, or a closely related field.
• Proven ability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives involving executive stakeholders, shifting priorities, and multiple concurrent workstreams.
• Experience supporting senior leadership through governance planning, stakeholder coordination, communications, and operational execution.
• Demonstrated background creating or improving policies, procedures, governance models, or program management frameworks.
• Working knowledge of budget coordination, contract support, vendor management, invoice processing, purchase orders, or related operational activities.
• Strong communication, reporting, presentation, and collaboration skills with the ability to translate complex topics into clear business actions.
