Cash Applications / Billing Assistant

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Billing & Cash Applications Specialist to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in accounting and finance. The ideal candidate will possess strong Excel skills, a solid understanding of core accounting principles, and exceptional attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare, review, and process customer invoices accurately and timely.
• Verify billing information and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with invoice tracking, payment reconciliation, and account research.
• Maintain accurate billing records and supporting documentation.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel to analyze billing data, create reports, and reconcile accounts.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure accurate billing and invoicing.
• Support the accounting team with month-end close activities and other administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred.
• Strong understanding of basic accounting concepts, including debits, credits, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, sorting/filtering, and pivot tables.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Previous internship or office experience is a plus but not required.
