Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst

We are looking for a Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst to join a finance-focused team in Englewood, Colorado on a Long-term Contract assignment. In this role, you will help keep reporting operations stable and accurate by managing production dashboards, resolving data issues, and supporting business users across client-facing reporting needs. This opportunity is well suited for someone who combines strong Power BI expertise with hands-on troubleshooting skills and a careful approach to data validation. You will work closely with reporting stakeholders and technical partners to maintain dependable insights and improve the overall quality of the reporting environment.

Responsibilities:
• Manage ongoing operational and external-facing reporting deliverables, ensuring outputs are timely, accurate, and aligned with business expectations.
• Maintain and support live Power BI reporting environments by identifying issues, resolving disruptions, and preserving day-to-day reporting continuity.
• Analyze dashboard errors, reporting inconsistencies, and data variances to determine root causes and implement effective fixes.
• Review report results against source information to confirm metric accuracy and maintain consistency across client-visible reporting.
• Investigate reporting problems by examining Power BI assets, SQL Server data structures, and upstream data sources.
• Deconstruct existing reports and dashboards to understand calculation logic, data relationships, and reporting behavior.
• Work directly with business partners to address reporting questions, clarify requirements, and provide practical issue resolution.
• Keep reporting documentation current and contribute to sound data governance practices that support auditability and reliability.
• Coordinate with the lead reporting developer to uphold reporting standards and contribute to ongoing enhancements.
• Track data quality trends and take action to protect the dependability of production reporting outputs.

Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of experience in business intelligence, reporting analysis, or data analysis roles.
• Demonstrated expertise building, supporting, and troubleshooting reports in Power BI.
• Strong experience with DAX and the ability to interpret reporting calculations and logic.
• Solid hands-on background with Microsoft SQL Server, including investigating data and report behavior.
• Experience working in production reporting environments where accuracy, stability, and responsiveness are critical.
• Proven ability to independently diagnose and resolve reporting issues and data discrepancies.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to support stakeholders and explain findings clearly.
• Experience validating data and maintaining reporting quality, preferably within finance, banking, or other regulated environments.

Compensation

$38.00-$44.00 Hourly
