Accounts Receivable Clerk
Responsibilities:
• Process customer invoices accurately and maintain timely billing records for assigned accounts.
• Monitor open balances, contact customers regarding past-due amounts, and handle collection efforts in a detail-oriented manner.
• Apply incoming payments to the appropriate accounts and investigate any discrepancies in cash activity.
• Communicate with customers to resolve account questions, payment issues, and invoice-related concerns.
• Use Microsoft Excel and Adobe tools to prepare documentation, track receivables activity, and support reporting needs.
• Review invoice details and account coding to ensure records are complete, accurate, and properly documented.
• Maintain organized account files within the company’s software platform and learn internal systems provided during training.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support account maintenance, customer service, and timely resolution of billing matters.
Qualifications:
• Prior experience in accounts receivable with working knowledge of invoicing, payment posting, and account reconciliation.• Background in commercial collections with the ability to follow up consistently on outstanding customer balances.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the use of formulas for tracking and organizing financial data.
• Comfortable using Adobe and learning company-specific software as part of onboarding and daily work.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to maintain positive relationships while handling collections.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail when reviewing invoices, coding information, and updating account records.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills for customer outreach and internal coordination.
Compensation
