Accounts Receivable Specialist

We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to support day-to-day receivables operations in Garland, Texas. This Long-term Contract opportunity is ideal for someone who is highly organized, comfortable working with financial records, and confident managing collections, deposits, and account updates. The person in this role will help maintain accurate customer account information, support billing activities, and contribute to broader accounting tasks as business needs arise.

Responsibilities:
• Maintain accurate accounts receivable records by updating customer balances, payment activity, and collection status.
• Review customer accounts and process appropriate corrections, adjustments, or write-offs in accordance with company guidelines.
• Track overdue balances, document collection efforts, and escalate accounts to outside collection partners when required.
• Verify goods received documentation, resolve aged outstanding receipts, and support accurate financial reconciliation.
• Collect, count, and prepare cash from vending sources, ensuring funds are properly documented and secured for deposit.
• Complete bank deposits manually when needed and record related cash activity with accuracy.
• Check returned product for accuracy before it is placed back into inventory or made available for resale.
• Provide support for invoicing tasks, supply purchasing, and special requests from internal departments.
• Assist with additional accounting assignments and project-based work as needed by the finance team.

Qualifications:

• Experience working in accounts receivable, collections, billing, or related accounting support functions.
• Proficiency with accounting software and business systems such as ERP, CRM, or similar financial platforms.
• Familiarity with cash handling, deposit preparation, and recording daily cash activity accurately.
• Ability to investigate account issues, apply adjustments, and maintain detailed collection notes.
• Strong attention to detail when reviewing financial records, receipts, invoices, and supporting documentation.
• Comfortable using tools such as ADP Financial Services, Epic software, or comparable enterprise applications.
• Effective organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation

$25.00-$27.00 Hourly
