Security Guard

Robert Half is seeking two CPR-certified Lobby Security Guards to support the California Bar Examination. This short-term assignment is ideal for professionals with security experience who excel in maintaining a safe, professional environment, interacting respectfully with the public, and confidently de-escalating situations when needed.

Assignment Locations

San Francisco (Westin St. Francis)

Dates: July 28–30

Oakland Convention Center

Dates: July 28–29

Schedule

7:30 AM – 6:00 PM (or earlier if dismissed)

Pay

$25/hour + overtime

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and orderly environment at the examination site
• Monitor lobby areas and building entry points
• Assist with crowd management and traffic flow
• De-escalate situations professionally and appropriately
• Ensure examinees follow site procedures and remain in designated areas
• Communicate effectively with event staff and Robert Half representatives
• Provide a professional and welcoming presence throughout the assignment

Qualifications:

• Current CPR Certification (required)
• Strong de-escalation and conflict resolution skills
• Previous security, public safety, event security, or related experience preferred
• Professional demeanor and excellent communication skills
• Reliable transportation and punctual attendance
• Ability to remain standing and walking for extended periods
