IAM Analyst
Robert Half is actively partnering with an Austin-based client to identify a IAM Analyst (contract). In this role, you will responsible for managing user access throughout the employee lifecycle, supporting access reviews, maintaining security controls, and assisting with IAM-related projects and process improvements. This role is hybrid in Austin, Tx.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer user access lifecycle activities, including onboarding, transfers, role changes, and offboarding.
- Process access requests, modifications, and removals in accordance with established policies and security controls.
- Investigate and resolve access-related issues, provisioning errors, and entitlement discrepancies.
- Support role-based access control (RBAC), least-privilege access models, and access governance initiatives.
- Collaborate with security, infrastructure, application owners, and business stakeholders to validate access requirements.
- Assist with user access reviews, compliance audits, control testing, and evidence collection activities.
- Maintain documentation related to access management procedures, controls, and operational processes.
- Participate in IAM projects involving automation, workflow enhancements, role design, and platform improvements.
- Support testing, implementation, and validation efforts for IAM-related system changes and enhancements.
- Track work items, project tasks, and documentation using Agile project management tools.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, strengthen governance, and increase operational efficiency.
- Provide training and support related to access management processes and security best practices.
Qualifications:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 4+ years of experience in Identity & Access Management, Information Security, IT Compliance, Access Administration, or related areas.
- Experience with identity governance and administration (IGA) platforms and access management tools.
- Knowledge of Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, user provisioning, lifecycle management, entitlement management, and role-based access controls.
- Experience working with ticketing and service management platforms.
- Familiarity with Agile project management and work-tracking methodologies.
- Understanding of access governance, segregation of duties, audit controls, and security best practices.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a structured and deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with enterprise identity governance platforms such as SailPoint or similar solutions.
- Knowledge of IAM automation, APIs, system integrations, and workflow development.
- Experience supporting audit, regulatory, or compliance initiatives.
- Familiarity with Agile, DevOps, or continuous improvement environments.
- Experience with access certifications, role engineering, and entitlement governance programs.
- Background supporting highly regulated industries and security-conscious environments.
