Accounts Receivable Specialist
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Receivable Specialist to support billing, collections, cash application, and account reconciliation activities. This role is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate invoicing, monitoring outstanding balances, and maintaining positive relationships with customers. The ideal candidate is analytical, customer-focused, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate and distribute customer invoices accurately and on time
- Post customer payments, including checks, ACH, wires, and credit card transactions
- Apply cash receipts and reconcile payment discrepancies
- Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on past-due balances
- Communicate with customers regarding billing questions, payment status, and account issues
- Investigate and resolve short payments, deductions, and disputed invoices
- Reconcile customer accounts and maintain accurate account records
- Assist with month-end close by preparing AR reports, reconciliations, and journal entries as needed
- Support credit and collections efforts in accordance with company policies
- Maintain organized documentation for invoices, payments, and account activity
- Collaborate with sales, customer service, and accounting teams to resolve account issues
- Help improve processes related to invoicing, collections, and cash application

Qualifications:
Qualifications:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- 2+ years of accounts receivable, billing, or general accounting experience preferred
- Strong understanding of accounts receivable processes and basic accounting principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting or ERP systems
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently
- Ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality
Compensation
