Senior Accountant
The Senior Accountant is responsible for supporting the company's accounting operations through month-end close, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance. This role partners with Accounting leadership and cross-functional departments to ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain compliance with GAAP, and identify opportunities to improve accounting processes.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and general ledger transactions.
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, including balance sheet reconciliations.
- Analyze financial results and investigate account variances.
- Prepare supporting schedules for financial statements and management reporting.
- Assist with internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to audit requests.
- Support process improvements and strengthen accounting policies and internal controls.
- Partner with AP, AR, Payroll, FP& A, and operational teams on accounting initiatives.
Qualifications:
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 4+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and month-end close procedures.
- Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, Sage Intacct, or Microsoft Dynamics.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and financial analysis.
- CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
